A busy week!

Its been a busy week at the field. On Sunday we had about 200 visitors to look around the Sheffield Organic Growers site, on a very hot day!

On Monday the weather was back to normal with rain all morning. We harvested our first carrots, thinning them out to make room for the rest to grow bigger. We also picked lots of lettuce and flowers.

On Tuesday there was yet more rain. We harvested our first 3 courgettes from the outside beds, and climbing french beans from the polytunnel. We also picked gooseberries and blackcurrants from the Fruitery.

All the kohl rabi we planted out last week has been eaten by something... rabbits or hares? So, we have planted more seeds in the polytunnel and when they are big enough we will plant them out with a cover over them!
