Spring has arrived!

The daffodils are flowering in the Fruitery and the Cherry Plum blossom is out.

Yesterday we put mulch mats around some of the smaller apple and plum trees to prevent the weeds and grass growing up too close.

We also planted tomato seeds, more sunflowers, sweet peas and cosmos.

We dug a drain to take the water away from the polytunnel sides, and planned out some new outdoor raised beds. We also covered all the remaining beds in the polytunnel with cardboard and filled one of the beds with compost - so its ready to plant when the weather warms up.
