Finishing the squash harvest

This week we have harvested all the remaining squash and pumpkins. We filled the trailer and then the tractor pulled it down to the polytunnel. We unloaded everything and the staging (shelves) in the polytunnel are completely full.

After the squash and pumpkins were harvested we cleared all the old plants, then pulled up the large strips of mypex. This was a bit tricky as the wind kept trying to blow the mypex away. Once this was done we sowed green manure seeds using a special seed sower, that you push along the beds.

As well as squash and pumpkins we are still harvesting green beans, tomatoes, cucumbers and flowers.
