The courgette that got away

On Monday this week we discovered a courgette that had grown into a huge marrow. It weighed just under 6 pounds. How did we not notice it before?

We have been doing lots of harvesting. We have picked climbing french beans, leeks, tomatoes, cucumbers, runner beans, apples and dwarf french beans. The Halloween pumpkins (Jack O Lantern) are ready so we have picked some of them and they are drying in the polytunnel. The shelving in the polytunnel is full of different varieties of squash!

On Monday and Tuesday we had sweetcorn for lunch, but decided on Tuesday it is past its best. We will plant potatoes in the sweetcorn bed next week.
