Sunshine and Polythene
On Monday the conditions were just right - sunshine and not much wind - to put the polythene over the new polytunnel. Firstly we had to put anti hot spot tape onto all the metal hoops where the polythene touches it. We also fixed the staging brackets (to make a work bench along one side). The polythene sheet was so large, it took 6 of us to hold onto it and slide it over the hoops into place. We then had to fix it using bendy blue wire, all the way round the base and door frames. After lunch we divided up jobs, so two of us dug a drainage trench along side the polytunnel, and the others followed the instructions to make the doors.
